Vinkymon OÜ is an Estonian family company with roots that go back to 2012, when we, the Vink family, had the idea to popularise flowering quince and products made from it. We had been experimenting with superfoods like flowering quince and garlic for years, but the world that opened up when we processed them was limitless, and it would have been a shame to keep all of this magic to ourselves. That is why we established the first flowering quince farm in Estonia.
The fruits of the flowering quince are ancient, thought to be the ‘golden apples’ of many legends and myths. The rich aroma and flavour complex, combined with the power of Nordic soil, invigorates the body and mind. We believe in the beneficial qualities of this crop, as well as the power of things that can be made from it.
Vinkymon is a company that brings two Nordic superfoods with distinctive character to Estonian food culture — black garlic and Japanese quince. The company combines taste experience, health benefits, and innovation. Vinkymon has been active in Estonia’s organic landscape since 2012 and has, over time, become known for both its black garlic products and beverages made from Japanese quince.
Vinkymon’s approach is simple: to create products that are simultaneously delicious, healthy, and innovative.
The uniqueness of black garlic
Vinkymon is also the creator of the black garlic dinner concept in this region. In 2025, four exclusive five-course dinners were held in Rakvere, Tartu, Kõiguste, and Tallinn, all of which were sold out.
Such events are very rare in Europe. To the best of current knowledge, the only comparable initiative is Black Garlic Events in England, which offers private dinners and special menus centered around black garlic.
Vinkymon offers several black garlic products that make it easy to incorporate this superfood into everyday meals — for example, various sauces and marinades, a total of four different products, including a special black garlic mustard.
In addition, a black garlic bread has been developed in collaboration with Fazer Estonia. It is called Nordic sandwich bread with black garlic, and each loaf contains six cloves of black garlic.
The charm of Japanese quince
In addition to black garlic products, Vinkymon is also known for its beverages made from Japanese quince. Japanese quince is often referred to as the “Nordic lemon” because its fruit contains a high amount of fruit acids, particularly citric acid.
Japanese quince is a highly beneficial fruit — its vitamin C content is comparable to that of a lemon. It also contains B vitamins, carotenoids, and flavonoids. The pulp is rich in pectin and tannins, while the fruit itself contains very little sugar.

Drinks can be bottled in both aluminum cans and glass bottles. It is also possible to use digitally printed aluminum cans, which are particularly well-suited for small test batches, special editions, or exclusive launches.
Additionally, Vinkymon has a unique cold pasteurization technology in Estonia, which helps preserve the freshness, taste, and quality of beverages without the effects of traditional heat treatment.
